THE STORY:

This Brown Bear, spotted at Crescent Lake in Lake Clark National Park, Alaska, is seen catching a salmon at the end of its life cycle, just after spawning.

The sockeye salmon’s life cycle spans four to five years, beginning in freshwater nests before migrating to the ocean to feed. Eventually, they return to their original spawning grounds to complete the cycle. As a vital part of Alaska’s river and lake ecosystems, salmon sustain a wide range of wildlife, from bears and eagles to the smallest insects.

PRODUCT INFO

Acrylic (numbered, include a Certificate of Authenticity): Acrylic pieces are printed on gallery-quality photo paper, covered with a smooth acrylic, feature a sturdy DiBond backing, and come with an easy-to-hang French cleat and all hanging hardware. Acrylic is our heaviest and most substantial option.

Metal (numbered, include a Certificate of Authenticity): Metal pieces feature 1/8” rounded corners, a gloss finish, a backing frame that “floats” the piece off the wall, and come with an easy-to-hang French cleat and all hanging hardware. Metal is a lightweight alternative to acrylic with a slimmer profile.

Matted paper: Photos are printed on gallery-quality photo paper, hand-affixed by Michael to a white backing board, and finished with a white beveled matting. Michael signs each matted paper print on the back of the backing board, so your piece will be unique to you. If you’d prefer Michael sign your matted print on the front, please let us know via email within 4 hours of placing your order.

Because every piece is custom made for you, returns and exchanges are not accepted. If your order arrives damaged, something is missing from your package, or you experience another issue, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
